But that's just what residents will find during the Good Samaritan Hospital's Girls' Night Out, a social evening with an important purpose, on Thursday, Oct. 20, at 6 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza in Suffern.
To provide the laughs, Rockland County resident and standup comedian Regina DeCicco will share the spotlight with Dr. Karen Karsif, director of The Center for Breast Health.
“Breast health is every woman’s concern. The more women, younger and older, who know about breast disease, the better armed we all are to achieve optimal health,” said Dr. Karsif. “October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, is the perfect time for our community to come together to support local access to advanced healthcare.”
The evening also includes dinner, a high-end shopping experience, mini makeovers, a silent action, raffles and more fun that anyone can pack into a shopping bag. The cost to attend is $50.
“I am thrilled to be a part of Girls’ Night Out,” said DeCicco. “As a local resident whose family has supported Good Samaritan for many years, I know how important it is offer our community high quality care, here where we all live.”
DeCicco, who made her TV debut on AXS-TV’s “Gotham Comedy Live,” has been featured on FOX’s “Laughs” and has performed at colleges across the U.S. She’s brought laughs to audiences at the Nantucket Comedy Festival, the Laughing Skull Comedy Festival in Atlanta and Boston’s Women in Comedy Festival. She has also performed in Shanghai, China.
